Fr. Jude T. Ellinghausen

Having entered a state of retirement, his ministry was curtailed on 6/02 due to historical allegations discovered in his personnel records by the County Prosecutor, although the allegations were deemed too antiquated to warrant criminal charges. Subsequent to his retirement, a single male complainant bravely stepped forward, recounting three years of inappropriate physical contact by Ellinghausen during the 1970s, when the complainant was but a child. Consequently, Ellinghausen was named as a defendant in a civil lawsuit. The announcement of his laicization was made in 2005, and he was subsequently included on the archdiocese’s roster of individuals deemed credibly accused on 6/10/20.
