Fr. Ronald R. Williams

Diocese: Archdiocese of Detroit MI
Ordained: 1979
Status of Accusation: Accused

In June 2002, Williams was accused of providing alcohol to a male minor and attempting to engage in oral sexual activity with him. As a result, Williams was suspended, and during the investigation, it was discovered that two other men had also come forward with allegations against him. One of the men claimed to have experienced similar abuse in 1979 when he was 16 years old, while the other stated that Williams had touched his buttocks when he was 17 years old in 1984. However, no charges were filed due to the expiration of the statute of limitations. On April 20, 2007, the Vatican permanently barred Williams from active ministry, and he passed away on July 6, 2010. Williams was included on the archdiocese’s list of individuals credibly accused on June 10, 2019.
