Fr. Mark McQuesten

Publicly identified as the accused individual in the Michigan Attorney General’s report in October 2022, McQuesten faced allegations brought to the attention of the diocese in January 2018. The report detailed an incident from 1986, during a trip to Florida, where McQuesten, then a seminarian, was accused of inappropriate touching by a teenager. Despite denying the allegations, McQuesten’s case was reviewed by the Diocesan Review Board, who ultimately deemed the accusations to lack credibility. By October 2022, McQuesten had retired from priesthood but remained actively involved in ministry.
