Fr. Robert Witkowski

Diocese: Archdiocese of Detroit MI
Ordained: 1961
Status of Accusation: Sued

Having retired in 2013, Witkowski found himself facing restrictions from engaging in public ministry in October 2018. These restrictions were imposed as a result of credible allegations that he had committed acts of sexual abuse against minors during the early years of his career. A lawsuit filed in December 2019 shed further light on the matter, as a man came forward claiming that Witkowski, alongside Rev. Thomas Ganley, had subjected him and other young boys to abuse at St. Cecila’s in Iselin, New Jersey, during the early 1990s.
