Fr. Aaron Nowicki

In August 2021, Nowicki found himself apprehended during a meticulously planned operation, as he naively believed he was rendezvousing with a teenager aged 14 or 15 for illicit activities in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. It had come to light that Nowicki had previously been expelled from his clerical duties in the Diocese of Marquette WI back in 2019 due to disturbing allegations of engaging in inappropriate sexual behavior with a vulnerable adult. These distressing details were prominently featured in the Michigan Attorney General’s comprehensive report released in October 2022. Eventually, Nowicki faced the consequences of his actions and was officially convicted in September 2023 for the charges stemming from the 2021 sting operation.
