Alvesteffer’s name was found on a roster of priests hailing from the diocese of Grand Rapids in May 2002. It seems that during his tenure in Ludington during the 1970s, there was only one accusation against him. According to the 1988 Catholic Directory, he was designated as being “on special assignment.” Alvesteffer passed away on January 18, 1998.
