Fr. John Tyminski

Having been ordained in Poland, Fr. John Tyminski made their way to the United States in the year 1950. They eventually retired in 1976 and passed away in 1984. It was not until the month of May in 2019 that the archdiocese publicly disclosed their name, acknowledging them as an accused individual. Interestingly, the archdiocese had actually received an allegation more than a decade prior, but it was only after the individual’s demise that this information came to light. In early 2019, a second victim bravely stepped forward, prompting the Review Board to deem the allegations as credible. Consequently, the individual’s name was officially included on the archdiocese’s list of those who have been credibly accused, a significant event that occurred on June 10th, 2019.
