Fr. Leonard Cornelius

Diocese: Diocese of Marquette MI
Ordained: 1969
Status of Accusation: Accused

According to the report released by the Attorney General of Michigan on October 22nd, it was revealed that Cornelius engaged in the reprehensible act of abusing a young individual, potentially a teenage boy of 16 years old, during his time as a chaplain at The Carmelite Monastery in Iron Mountain back in the 1980s. As a consequence, he was promptly expelled from his religious order, compelled to undergo treatment, and subsequently relocated to a different area outside of the diocese. Interestingly enough, on the very same date of October 22nd, Cornelius was found fulfilling the role of a homilist for the Byzantine Catholic Church situated in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
